Chihuahua - Bean - Small - Young - Male - Dog
Meet Bean! Bean is an adorable little Chihuahua mix. Possibly with Jack Russell. Bean is super smart and super fast! He loves, loves, loves to run and play with other active, athletic small dogs, but he can still be worried when he meets a new dog on-leash, especially if they are grumbly or barky with him. Bean would be a fantastic agility dog, or any other sport that requires a super smart, athletic dog. Bean has a cute little Patch over his eye and a big brown spot on his body. He is about one and a half years old. Bean is shy at first, especially with men. If he is approached too quickly, he might snap, but once he knows you he trusts you. He loves to be held and will even allow you to cradle him like a baby. Because of his nervous behavior, Bean should not go to a home with kids under 10 years old. He is fine with kids who are quiet and calm, but how many of those are around?? ; o ). Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have adoption events at the Beaverton PetSmart every other Saturday where you can meet many of our dogs at once. Where will the dog be when you're home? Where will the dog sleep? Who else lives in the home? Do you have children? How old are the children? Are you in a home or apartment? How long have you lived there? Do you have a fully, securely fenced yard? (type/height) Do you own or rent your home? What changes in your life are likely in the next 10+ years (or life span of the dog) and how will the changes affect the dog? (moving, job or schedule change, school, having children) Anything else you'd like us to consider in finding the right dog for your family? Thank you for your interest in adopting and saving a life! Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 50 miles of Portland. Adoption Fee: $150 for larger adult dogs, $250 for small adult dogs and puppies of any size.
